The 13th Aerobics Marathon on Aids at Amari Watergate Bangkok’s Ballroom, on the 6th floor, was held on Sunday 27 September 2009 from 13.00 – 16.30,to raise funds for charitable causes, firstly Chalerm Prakiat HRH Princess Sirindhorn School which supports the education of children whose parents have very tragically passed away due to HIV infection and the second beneficiary to Baan Gerda, the Children's Village project which supports HIV-infected orphans children in Nongmuang, Lopburi province.
This charity event is aimed at encouraging people to make merit and exercise for health, with a 3-hour aerobics marathon, led by many famous instructors such as Bankchart Kaewchompoo, Jirayu Somyoo, Ladda Pramote, Yodchai Ymmakup and more. There were over 900 aerobic participants, including celebrities, along with the contest award to win Best Female & Male Dancer, Most Creative Costumes and the team with most participants. They were a ble to have fun, get fit and feel virtuous, all at the same time!
The Midnight Run was promptly followed by a fantastic party at Amari Watergate , in Henry J. Bean’s Bar & Grill, which went on until the early hours of Sunday morning. The combined total raised from the 12th Amari Watergate & BMW Thailand Midnight Run for Charity and the 13th Aerobic Marathon on Aids is 3.7 million Baht.
The 14th Aerobics Marathon on Aids is scheduled on Sunday, 26 September 2010 and over 1,000 aerobic lovers are expected. So please join! |
