AMARI ANNOUNCES NEW HOTEL MANAGEMENT COMPANY:

‘ONYX HOSPITALITY GROUP’

 

 

Mr. Yuthachai Charanachitta, Owner and Director of ONYX Hospitality Group (2nd from right) and Mr. Peter Henley, Chief Executive Officer of ONYX Hospitality Group (2nd from left) together with the executive team held a press conference announcing the formation of a new corporate structure with the creation of ONYX Hospitality Group, a new management company. In addition of Amari brand, ONYX Hospitality Group also announced the launch of two new hotel brands: a luxury brand, Saffron and a select services offering named Ozo.

This strategic development allows the company to move beyond Thailand to pursue hospitality management opportunities in the Asia Pacific and Arabian Gulf regions. The press conference was held at Amari Watergate Bangkok recently

Amari joins hands with BMA and Thai Beverage to Clean up the Community in Celebration of World Environment Day


 
Khun Yuthachai Charanachitta, Owner of ONYX Hospitality Group together with Mr. Peter Henley, CEO led a team on a community to the clean-up activity of New Petchburi Road in co-operation with Bangkok Metropolitan Administration and Thai Beverage.
Comprising staffs from Amari Atrium Bangkok, Amari Boulevard Bangkok, Amari Don Muang Bangkok, Amari Watergate Bangkok  as well as from Amari Estates and Italthai Development,  moved along New Petchburi Road and Pratunam to remove debris and litter from the streets using cleaning equipment  provided by the Rajthevi  and Huaykwang District  Administrations. This volunteer community-service activity was organised to coincide with World Environment Day 2010.

ONYX Hospitality Group launches ‘Arts For the Planet’ in celebration of Earth Day

 

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of Earth Day on 22 April 2010, ONYX Hospitality Group in co-operation with Bangkok Metropolitan Administration’s Department of Education, has launched ‘Arts For the Planet’. This two-month long painting competition will provide a total of 12 scholarships to students in primary and secondary schools in the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration system.
Speaking at the project’s launch, Mr. Peter Henley (second from right), President and Chief Executive Officer, ONYX Hospitality Group stated “Through ‘Arts For the Planet’ we hope to instill awareness of the environmental issues that have impacted all of us. The project aims to engage the younger generation through arts to foster critical thinking about the world we live in and the key environmental issues.”

Ms. Masvimol Rakbankerd (far left), Deputy Director, Department of Education, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration added, “The students will benefit greatly from this project. Not only will they be able to display their artistic creativity, but they will also be able to incorporate their knowledge of environmental conservation into their paintings as well.” 

The unveiling of the ‘Arts For the Planet’ logo was held at Amari Watergate Bangkok. This project will be held from 17 May - 20 July 2010.
