How do I pay for
my booking?
When you make a booking via the
Internet, you will be advised of the payment conditions, which
apply. We will always request credit card details to guarantee your
booking. For certain periods of the year, we may request
pre-payment.At present, we cannot offer on-line credit card
transactions and it is recommended that you fax through credit card
details, rather than send your card details on-line. However, our
site will soon be secure, enabling you to transmit credit card
details via e-mail.

Can my children
stay in the room for free?
One child, under the age of 12, is
eligible to stay in your room free of charge. At certain hotels,
larger rooms are available which can accommodate 2 children. These
rooms are normally in the superior or deluxe room category. Please
mention this request at the time of booking.

Are babysitting
services available?
Yes, babysitting services are
available at most of the hotels upon request. Please ask the
respective hotel for the price.

What are the
check in and check out times?
The check in time at Amari Hotels
and Resorts is 3:00pm and the check out time is noonWe will of
course do our best to have a room available for you whenever you
arrive. However, this can never be guaranteed and is dependent on
the occupancy level the night before. If you are planning to arrive
early then you may wish to book your room from the night before. If
you are departing late, special rates are available for late check
out.

Do you charge
for cancellations?
The cancellation policy of each
hotel varies according to the property and the time of year. In the
high season, we apply a stricter policy than during the low season.
Full details will be advised to you at the time of booking.

Why do Internet
rates only apply at certain times of the year?
You can book Amari Hotels and
Resorts year-round via the Internet, often at promotional rates.
During periods of high demand such as Christmas and New Year, such
promotional rates are not valid.

When is a good
time to visit Thailand?
Thailand is a year-round destination
with little change of temperature. However, as Thailand is a
tropical country, at certain times of the year there is a heavier
rainfall than at others. It is recommended that you take this into
account when booking.

What is the
currency in Thailand?
The currency in Thailand is Thai
Baht. There are currency exchange facilities in all main tourist
areas. The value of the Thai Baht has fluctuated dramatically over
the last 2 years and it is recommended that you check the applicable
rate of exchange at the time of booking.

How do I get
from the airport to the hotel?
In Bangkok, a range of options are
available. When you book your hotel room, you can arrange for a
hotel limousine to collect you. We have staff on duty to meet most
flights and they will escort you to the car. After a long flight, it
is wonderful not to have to worry about finding a taxi.
Alternatively, you can take one of the metered taxis that are
available. Please ensure that they do switch on the meter. There is
a surcharge of 50 Baht for taking a taxi from the airport.In Chiang
Mai, Samui and Phuket, we can arrange transfers either by mini-bus

What different
types of room are available?
There are a range of room options
available at our hotels and resorts to suit every budget. For

Is it possible
to purchase orchids and take them on my flight?
Cut orchids can be taken into most
countries. Orchids, packed in special carrying boxes for the flight,
are available from some of our hotels. Please ask the respective
hotel for details of the availability and price of this
service.

special services available for female travellers?
The Amari Watergate Hotel has rooms
that are specially furnished with female tastes in mind. Please see
the rooms and rates page for the individual hotel or contact the
hotels for more details.

Do you have
special facilities for handicapped travellers?
The Amari Atrium, Don Muang and
Watergate Hotels all have rooms that are specially designed for
disabled travelers. Please contact the hotel with questions that
relate to your specific needs.

Are medical
services available at the hotels?
All the hotels have a doctor on 24
hour call. First aid kits are available in each hotel.

What are the
golf facilities like in Thailand?
Thailand is world-renowned for the
quality of its golf courses. In and around Bangkok there are many
different golf courses to choose from. The hotel concierge can
assist to arrange transportation and tee-off times.In Chiang Mai,
Pattaya and Phuket, there are also many excellent golf courses and
many visitors travel to Thailand for the golf alone. Please ask for
more details when you book.

Can you
recommend any good diving schools in Thailand?
We have diving schools, which
operate at the Amari Emerald Cove
Resort on Koh Chang, the Amari Palm Reef
Resort in Samui, the Amari Coral Beach
Resort in Phuket and the Amari Trang Beach
Resort in Trang. There are, of course, many companies offering
this service throughout Thailand.

What voltage do
you use in Thailand?
The voltage in Thailand is 220
volts. If you are coming form America then you will need to use a
transformer to operate certain electrical appliances.

satellite television and in-house movies available?
All hotels offer a range of local
and international news and entertainment channels. In some of the
hotels, we have pay-per-view movies as well.

What is the VAT
refund system in Thailand?
The current level of VAT in Thailand
is 7%. The government has recently introduced a VAT refund system
for tourists. Full details can be obtained from participating
shops.

Most rooms can accommodate only one
additional bed.
