Mr Peter Henley, President & CEO of Amari Hotels and Resorts, has announced the appointment of Mr Thomas Vanderlieb, as Executive Chef of the Amari Coral Beach Resort, Phuket.
Mr Vanderlieb, a German national, first joined Amari Hotels and Resorts in 2005 as an Executive Chef. He has a wealth of experience in the hospitality industry covering over 25 years in various international destinations, including Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Thailand.
He is responsible for the delectable kitchens of such restaurants as the famous La Gritta Italian Restaurant, Rim Talay Restaurant, Kinaree Restaurant and The Jetty, at this popular Phuket resort, on the headland overlooking Patong Bay.

Mr Peter Henley, President & CEO of Amari Hotels and Resorts, has announced the appointment of Mr Roland Henkel, as General Manager of Amari Palm Reef Resort, Samui.
Mr Henkel, a German national and graduate of International Hospitality Management in Switzerland, brings a wealth of experience to the resort. Before joining Amari, he held managerial positions in international hotels and resorts, including the USA, Germany, Egypt and the West Indies.
In early 2006, he joined Amari Hotels and Resorts as Executive Assistant Manager Rooms Division at the 5-star Amari Watergate Hotel, Bangkok.
Mr Henkel now oversees the smooth running of the very popular Amari Palm Reef Resort, Samui.

Amari Hotels and Resorts recently opened another new school building, constructed with contributions to their 'Baht for a Better Life' charity. The school is in the village of Baan Klong Waai, in Surat Thani province. 120 students, who attend the school, are from the ages of 5 to 13, living in Baan Klong Waai Village and 2 other villages in the neighbouring area.
The 'Baht for a Better Life' charity is funded by small change and donations from guests and staff of Amari Hotels and Resorts, located throughout Thailand.
